The village of Nymfes lies on a superb physical setting, 200 meters above sea level. The village took its name from the waterfalls that are located nearby. According to the myth, a group of Nymphs used to take their bath in those waterfalls. The best period to visit the waterfalls is in the blooming spring because they normally dry up in the summer. If you follow the road from the village that leads to the new sports/football stadium, you will find the waterfalls only a few km after. Please, bare in mind that the last part of the route might not be suitable to drive, thus a short walk might be necessary.
